In this Assignment, we are going to show the students two Venn diagrams, which are going to compare two types of holidays. There are many similarities between them, though some differences exist. They will have to fill them afterwards, and they are going to write an essay titled 'Summer Holidays or Winter Holidays?'

Getting ready

Let's create the Venn diagram using the website, http://www.openoffice.org/. We are going to use this free and open source software in order to create the activity. We will be clicking on Drawing in order to draw both circles of the diagram and write titles for the activity and each diagram.

How to do it...

Click on Drawing in OpenOffice and then follow these steps:

1. Click on the Basic Shapes icon in the bottom part of the screen and select Circle.
2. Copy and paste another circle, and overlap it on the other one to create a Venn diagram.
3. Select one circle and click on the Effects...
