Differentiating with a forum post


We've already seen how we can set a condition that a student has to post in a forum before they can access the next task or activity. In Stuart's French course, Andy and Emma had to introduce themselves before they could tackle the quiz.

We can use this technique to organize a grouping system for students who wish to choose a particular project to undertake or module to study. Andy has done this in his How to Be Happy course. He wants students to choose whether they would like to learn about how keeping fit and eating healthily can make you happy or whether they'd prefer to study how meditation can bring inner peace. He has set up two forums. Students must choose one and post in there to let Andy know which module they are opting for.
