In your cover letter and curriculum vitae/resume you get to brag about yourself. Now, let's let others brag about you. Though we will use the Secret URL method for sharing, it is still a good idea to ask your references for permission to give a potential employer their contact information. This recipe is going to assume that you have received letters of recommendation from your references and that you are not simply providing contact information.

Getting ready

You will need to have digital copies of your letters of reference. We will be uploading these to your Mahara portfolio. We will also be selecting a quote or two from each letter of reference, so you may want to select those ahead of time. If you only have paper copies, you'll need to convert them to a digital format.
