Complex resume: the professional portfolio


You may have a number of blogs, video streams, photo galleries, presentations, and so on, that you would like to reference, or even showcase, in your resume. Yet, it is usually a good idea to provide individuals with a one-stop location, rather than requiring them to go to different websites to see your work.

In this recipe, we will create a one-page resume that includes a feed from an external blog (such as Blogger), a feed from an internal blog (Mahara Journal), a YouTube video, two collections, and a few of the fields from the Résumé section. Wow!

Getting ready

For the external blog, you will need the feed address of the RSS feed for the blog. Look for the RSS icon on the home page of your blog. Click on the icon and it should take you to the RSS feed. Copy the URL for that page (it's in the address bar).
