Miss, I can't do the homework because I haven't got Word at home!


Many of us, even without thinking about it, create worksheets in Microsoft Office Word and presentations in Microsoft Office PowerPoint. This might be because our school has a license for them and they are installed on our computers. However, they don't always come for free when you purchase a desktop computer or a laptop. Sometimes, you may have to buy them separately. I know several of my students who don't have these programs at home. But, I refuse to accept the excuse from our pupil Joe for not having completed his home work because there is a free alternative!

LibreOffice is a suite of applications for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and so on, that anyone can download and use.
