More and more classes these days are using iPads or iPod touches. As I write, my school's Assistant Headteacher has just put in an order for a set of iPads for the Special Educational Needs department and he is thinking of ordering an iPod touch for each member of the teaching staff. (Yes, please!)
Many teachers and a fair number of older students also have iPhones. If you, as a teacher, think you might be doing a lot of uploading through your iPhone, you might like to download the official Moodle iPhone app from the iPhone store. (It's free.) If you have a Blackberry or an Android phone, don't feel left out, because they also have a free app available here: http://moodle.org/plugins/view.php?id=175.
Here's a quick checklist of the pros and cons of mobile devices such as iPads.
