The implementation of packaged business software is always a unique experience that requires the application of multiple disciplines. There are several different methods available to choose from as part of the implementation. After selecting the appropriate methods, the next steps are to (a) understand how each method should integrate with the other methods, and (b) determine to what level you should apply the methodology's principles to your business solution implementation.
Something to keep in mind is that methodologies by themselves do not produce successful implementations. It is people who produce successful implementations. Methodologies provide the strategy and coordination that enable people to focus on producing successful implementations.
