Using IBM Connections Business Cards for Sametime


If your company has deployed IBM Connections, then you already have a significant amount of personal information stored in your Connections profiles for each user. This also includes everything you would often want to display in a Business Card. Rather than duplicating data, so it is stored in both Connections and retrieved from LDAP for Sametime, you can instead have the Sametime client use the Connections data for the Business Card information.

The IBM Connections Business Card contains links to all of the Connections features and services, making Sametime and Connections appear as a single integrated application.

Depending upon the Sametime client type being used, there are three methods for ensuring Connections Business Cards are selected as a primary source.
