The Note Property inspector


The Note Property inspector is only available in the OmniGraffle Professional version. If you do not have this version installed, you can skip this section.

Using this inspector you can add any kind of information to a shape. You can both enter free form information in a note field, or you can add structured information in a data table.

The note field can contain rich text. This means that you are not limited to using one predefined font. You can use various fonts, sizes, colors, and so on. Anything you can do with text inside OmniGraffle—you can also do with this field.

The data table is organized around the concept of Key/Value pairs. The Data Key is akin to a label in a data entry form, and the Data Value is the information you enter into the corresponding field in the data entry form.
