Time for action — putting iAd Tester on your devices


When you installed iAd Producer, it placed a version of iAd Tester on your Mac. We can use iTunes to install this on our iOS devices.

  1. 1. iAd Producer copied a version of iAd Tester to the Developer folder of your Mac. Open Finder and navigate to Developer, then iAdJSDeveloper; now open the folder iAdTester-Device. You should see a file called iAdTester.

  2. 2. Open iTunes and drag the file to your library, as you can see demonstrated in the following screenshot:

  3. 3. This adds iAd Producer to your iTunes library, so it can be synced to your iOS devices. Now connect an iOS device, such as an iPhone or iPad, to your Mac using a dock connector cable. iTunes should now recognize the device and it will show in the side bar. Click the device icon to open the overview, and change the tab to Apps. Make sure Sync Apps is checked and find iAdTester in the app list on the right; check the box to select it for syncing.
