Summary


We are now deep into the post-production phase of our Captivate movie. Our projects are very different from the original rushes. They have also become fully interactive and animated. To achieve these things, it has been necessary to add different kinds of objects to our slides and to use a lot of tools and features of Captivate.

In this particular chapter, we focused on the three objects that can bring animation to our slides.

  • The Text Animation that can be created entirely in Captivate

  • The Animation that let us import external .swf or .gif files in the project

  • The Zoom Area that we used to highlight a specific spot on a slide by zooming on it

We have also added some multimedia content to the slides by discussing the insertion of video files in Captivate.

In the second part of the chapter, we focused on the four rollover objects of Captivate.

  • The Rollover Caption is a Text Caption that appears only if and when the student passes his/her mouse in a corresponding rollover area.
