The tools and options we have within our Blackboard Learn instance will satisfy most of our users' needs; some of our users will push the needs of our system and will want to have additional options. This can also be said of administrators like ourselves who are always looking for new ways to monitor and support our users. When we want to use tools that aren't built into our environment we go looking for building blocks. In this chapter we will learn about the following topics:

  • Three different types of tool integration options in our instance

  • How to manage building blocks, web services, and LTI tools within our instance

  • Where to find building blocks that we might find useful for our organization and users
