Save options


The following is a list of the save options in SketchBook Pro along with a brief description:

  • TIFF (Tagged Image File Format):This is the default saving option in SketchBook Pro. The layers are retained when you save a file using this option, so you can continue working with all your layers intact. It's a good idea to keep all your layers since you may find it necessary to make corrections later. TIFF is not supported by all web browsers, so this is not a good save option if you want to post your image on the Web—the file would be too large to use on the Web anyway. It is an excellent choice if you intend to print your image.

  • JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group): This file is smaller than a TIFF because it uses a compression method that causes the image to lose some data when it is saved.
