Let’s take a closer look at the functions we mentioned earlier: namely append, cut, copy, and paste. You must be familiar with the latter as any editing package, text or image, provides them:
Copy, as the name suggests will copy the selected data onto the clipboard.
Cut works just like Copy, but it will delete the data from its original place.
Paste will place any data that exists in the clipboard at the specified position.
They are very useful functions that allow quick editing, especially if you use the keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+X for Cut, Ctrl+C for Copy, and Ctrl+V for Paste.
