When you add a resource or an activity to a course, you can make the item invisible to the students until you are ready for them to see it. For example, you might want to keep a web page hidden until you have finished writing it. Or, you might want to reveal a series of activities as the class completes them, as a group.

When you hide an item, it is still visible to the teacher, course manager, and site administrator. It is hidden only from the students and visitors.

To show or hide an item, click the eye icon next to it to get the options as follows:
