An introduction to artistic anatomy


Before continuing with the alien creation, some basic knowledge of anatomy can be very useful. It is a basic discipline for a character artist. Don't worry, we will clarify the concerned parts of the body for each step with illustrations.

Of course it is an alien, so we can accept the fact that we don't always have to respect human anatomy for specific parts. He has a huge head, only two fingers and a thumb, and very different feet. His humanoid appearance imposes some anatomical likelihood. This is especially useful if you plan to animate it later on.
