Once logged in, Moodle gives us a Settings block providing access to various features according to our permissions. This block remains with us throughout our journey through the site. This is useful for admin, for example, as they could access Site administration options when inside a course, rather than having to go back to the front page.
We saw that students like Emma only have one option in their Settings block the ability to edit their profile (if we want them to).
A user with a front page role, like our manager Martin, will also have a link to My profile settings. Additionally, he will have a link to Front page settings as shown in the following screenshot. He will also see a Site administration link. However, this merely leads to more Front page settings, as this is the only site administration capability he has.
