When double-clicking on a text attached to a path, we have seen that some strange color points were made visible. All the Scribus shapes and lines can do so, and you may have experienced it when we were working with shapes.
These points are handles that can be used to modify the shape or the line. They are related to a window called Nodes. This window can be opened at any time with the Edit button of the Shape tab in the PP. We have already been in there when dealing with text flowing around frames as a contour line, which was in fact a special use of this window.
This window is complex in the way that it has many options. There is no need to know them all by heart. The Nodes window is helpful but sometimes too much for a layout program, as manipulating nodes will be much easier in a vector drawing program such as Inkscape. Nodes are the point through which the line will go, start, or end. X-Pos and Y-Pos of this window give the node position.
