The flower picture of our last Time for action - exercise is a TIFF file and includes a clipping path. Let's go back to this document if you still have it or import this picture in an empty new document to see how to apply the path.
Open the Extended Image Properties window and you'll see that only the Path tab is available. There is no layer in this TIFF because it has been saved in GIMP, which doesn't handle multi-layer support for this format.
Only one path is saved in this picture, and it will be easy to choose which you want to apply.
Just click on the path and you'll see some parts of the image disappear. These parts are those defined in the path, not necessarily matching any content. If you performed some flipping on the image, you should see that the path doesn't take it into account. If you really need four flippings you'll have to prepare it in the photo editing software.
