Ways to get noticed


If you want a jump start in marketing your script, that is, getting it out to as many qualified agents and producers as possible, preferably a thousand, a number of services on the Internet will do that for you, for pay.

There are basically two types of these (and the ones I mention here are ones I've used and had good results from).

First are the "mailers" who e-mail your query to hundreds or thousands of qualified markets and the read requests come directly to you, such as Script Delivery which is shown in the following screenshot:

I used this service last year for my script The Farmer and the Alien and got a pleasing number of read requests. If you do not want to accumulate your own lists, a service like this one is quite good because they have insider connections hard to find outside of Hollywood.

Then there are those like InkTip (the main webpage is shown in the following screenshot), which provide sites that have qualified members who are producers and agents. You...
