Time for action – adding an Outcome to an online assignment


To help test a learner's knowledge on the product Mahara, we are going to ask them to submit an online assignment. We are also going to select an Outcome which will be graded for this assignment. View your course, and make sure that "editing" is turned on.

  1. In the topic area that you want to create the assignment, select the Add an Activity drop-down and choose the Online text option. This brings you to the setup page for adding a new assignment.

  2. As with all names of activities and resources, the name is the call to action that appears on the course. Enter How much do you know about Mahara? as the text for the Assignment name field.

  3. In the Description field, this is where you elaborate on your call to action from the name field. Type in the following text into the Description field: Please describe the application Mahara in 50 words or less.

  4. Uncheck both of the dates (Available from and Due Date) otherwise the assignment cannot be done...
