Project #1—building the high-level model


Project #1 captures the complete list of products and services of the company.

In the Enterprise Designer framework the first principle is that, 'all organizations exist for one purpose only, to deliver products and services to customers in order to achieve goals'. This principle encourages what some people call outside in thinking. Instead of modeling the organization from the inside looking out, our philosophy is that everything needs to be understood from the customer's point of view. It is therefore unsurprising that the first model that we build describes who the customers are.

This sequence of models can be built in two weeks. Given that the world is now changing so fast, having a speedy way to get the key information is essential. During this two week process you will build six models as follows:

  • Product and Service model (what it is, how to build it)
