You will create ads that utilize the powerful technologies in the iPhone to make your brand shine. Once you have engaged the user you can carry out targeted advertising campaigns with location-based coupons, store finders and social engagement. Using the iTunes Store you will see how it's even possible to add one-click digital content purchasing right within your ad. Time for action — enabling ads

With an active iAd Contract with Apple we're able to begin serving live iAd campaigns on a per-app basis. To enable ads, follow the ensuing steps:

  1. 1. Log in to iTunes Connect using your Apple ID. Select Manage Your Applications. Find and open the application you'd like to enable ads for.

  2. 2. From the right-hand menu, select Set Up iAd Network, as shown in the following screenshot:

  3. 3. Select whether your primary audience is for under 17 year olds. Apple currently doesn't deliver ads to apps targeted at minors. Click on the Enable iAd switch then click on Save.

    Note

To view this screen, your app must be in an editable state. This means you've prepared the details in iTunes Connect for an update or a new app, but haven't yet uploaded the app binary or clicked the Ready to Upload button.

  4. 4. Your app is now iAd enabled! Any future binaries you submit for this application will display live ads, once available in the App Store.

What just happened?

As real iAds only appear...
