Time for action — creating a banner


In order to create a banner, follow the ensuing steps:

  1. 1. Open iAd Producer from your Applications folder, and select an iPhone project.

  2. 2. Choose File | Save as from the menu bar, and enter a name for you project, such as Coffee Beans.

    Note

    If you're using the example files for this project, you can find them in the Coffee Beans folder included with the book assets.

  3. 3. Now, add your assets to the project, by dragging your assets to the asset library pane. The example assets can be found in the final folder. If you're using your own assets, make sure you optimize your images and convert your videos.

  4. 4. Double-click on the banner, on the ad overview, to open the template selector. Select the Image and Text banner type. Now, double-click the banner again to open it on the editor canvas.

  5. 5. Drag coffee-cup-small.jpg, or your banner icon, to the image placeholder on the canvas. You'll see a coffee cup with a white background appear.
