We started this chapter by talking about the construction of our virtual community by building our Blackboard Learn instance. Like any big construction project, we had to spend a lot of time getting the site ready before starting the building of our Blackboard Learn instance. We also used the information and resources of our database, operating systems, and e-mail systems to complete our project. We also reviewed how to keep our system up and running, and deploy patches and upgrades as well.
We might be done with the construction, but our virtual community needs to be given some flair. Our next chapter moves into the design and appearance of our virtual community to its residents. So get out your hex colors and background designs. We are going to learn how to make our Blackboard Learn instance shine.
