Branding Blackboard Learn


For those of us who have never studied marketing in school, branding describes a specific design, based on layout, fonts, and colors, that make something unique. A good example would be when you see a national flag. The colors and layout of the flag quickly set your expectations without saying a word. Many organizations have very specific branding for their online presence—whether it's a website or a Facebook page. Just use a search engine to find the Blackboard Learn login pages from organizations around the world. In the result, we can see how these organizations brand the entry point for their Blackboard Learn environments. We should make sure we include our organization's marketing or communications department in the branding discussions. These departments have experienced members branding the organization's online presence, and can work with us to bring that branding into our Blackboard Learn environment.
