Often, we as administrators need to communicate information to our Blackboard Learn users system-wide. Whether the topic is planned maintenance, campus events, weather closures, or other emergency messages, Blackboard Learn gives us this ability with system announcements. This tool works in the same way as course and organization announcements, but will be displayed to every user when they access our environment.
We access our System Announcements area by clicking on the Announcements link located under the Tools and Utilities module within the System Admin tab.
In our Announcements page, we see any announcements we previously created. From this page, we can manage our system announcements from creation to deletion. Let's go through creating an announcement for our Blackboard Learn environment.
