For a small fee Blizzard allows players to transfer their characters from one server/faction to another. These transfers come in two flavors, a single player transfer and a guild transfer. To transfer characters a few requirements must be met:
Minimum level 10 except for Death Knights, which require level 60
Character must be logged out, sometimes up to 20 minutes before transfer can be completed
A character can only be transferred once every three days
The character cannot have any mail in their mailbox or active auctions
Arena team leaders cannot be transferred
Characters cannot change to a server outside their region (the U.S, EU, and KR)
Guild leaders cannot be transferred using a character transfer; they must use a guild transfer or give up guild leadership
A player transfer costs $25.00 USD for characters on the North American realms and 20€ or £15 for EU realms. There is an additional limit on how much gold each character can transfer with them:
