Trashing audio – altering the sound of a voice


This task will add some finishing touches to the interview you edited in Project 3. If you did that project, you might remember the so-called eyewitness from the interview requested his identity to be hidden. Although, in Project 3, you hid his face well enough, his voice remained unaltered.

To give a quick example of how to achieve a voice-altering effect, you will work on just one small clip from that project, adding the Pitch Shifter effect and the Bass filter. You will then save this cumulative effect as a custom preset for you to add to your version of Project 3 once you are done here.

Engage Thrusters

Alter the sound of a voice by following these steps:

  1. Select the Project panel, and import the file OS_at_Witness.avi from the Video folder of Project 3 on your designated video drive.

  2. Create a new sequence. Don't worry about the settings, but rename it Voice Changer Effect.
