It is best to walk through the process or scene you are going to be recording as you take notes for the shot list. Get access to the resources you need, such as login information, Internet address, or access to the physical facility being recorded. Make sure the sequence is correct and you have all the information you need before starting. I usually write it on note paper and type the notes into the shot list document. The shot list document can be stored with other project files. It is a good idea to keep these files in case you need to reshoot the video later. For a sample of a shot list, see the project file, SAMPLE-Shot-List-Using-CuePrompter
.
Tip
Review information about the sample shot list included in Appendix. The sample shot list document and template can be downloaded from your account at http://www.packtpub.com.
The shot list does not need to be reviewed. It is for the use of the person doing the recording to ensure everything is covered.
