The Intel XDK IoT Edition is a powerful and complete tool that allows Galileo developers to easily create IoT applications. Besides making the development fast, it easily connects with the mobile world.
In this chapter, we had a small walkthrough of its main features by creating a doorbell ring notifier, which notifies the user's mobile device when the ring is played.
In the next chapter, we'll be using this development tool to create a more complex example—developing an IoT quiz game and using mobile companion apps to play it.
