Chapter 6. Remote Controlling a Smart Monitor Car

As this is now the dawn of the IoT age, and we see a smart home for the first time, people are increasingly paying attention to security. The IP camera is the main product that monitors an environment. However, most IP cameras are placed in the corners of a house and can't be removed. So, we can now put this IP camera in a mobile car. Banana Pro acts as a single board computer has the camera and GPIO interfaces, respectively, so it will be a very good choice to make a movable IP camera—a smart monitor car with the IP camera and remote control.

In this chapter, I will introduce you to the setup of the IP camera based on Banana Pro, and then describe what we need to set up a small mobile car. In order to realize the remote control function, I will then describe how to control the Banana Pro GPIO status via the Internet.
