Semantic types
Semantic types are specific types of annotations that give meaning to a behavior. This allows machine learning and other computational systems to understand and reason about this behavior. This reasoning allows these systems to interpret semantic types into something meaningful. Think of using the Distance
semantic type in a meta model called Silo
. Instead of handling the behavior as a schema, it can be reasoned as the distance to that Silo.
