Summary

Wow, you just created an application to store your favorite movies! The application persists your movies and you are able to install the application on your phone so that you are able to bring it with you and show it to your friends and family. Good job!

This chapter introduced lists using the UITableView and UITableViewController types. We looked at the two related protocols-UITableViewDataSource and UITableViewDelegate-and some of the most central methods defined in these protocols. We then looked at how to set up an interface that uses a table view and how we can populate lists using the UITableViewController. We added a navigation controller in order to set a title for our app and to have a place for adding a button to add items to our list. We also looked at how we can delete items from the list using swipe gestures. Lastly, we looked at how we can persist data using UserDefaults so that our items stay in the list even after we close our app...
