Viewing notes as thumbnails

By default, the Notes app lists your notes by name. For a more visual way to display your notes, you can display notes as thumbnail icons. This lets you view the text in each note to help you find the one you want.

To toggle between showing your notes in a folder as a list or as thumbnails, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the Notes app on the Home screen.
  2. Tap on a folder to show a list of all notes stored in that folder.
  3. Tap on the three dot icon in the upper-right corner of the screen to display a menu, as shown in Figure 15.34:

  4. Tap View as Gallery to toggle between showing your notes as a list or as thumbnail images.

No matter how you view or search your notes, you may have some notes that are more important than others. To protect your privacy, consider password protecting a note.
