Capturing audio with Voice Memos

Some people prefer talking rather than writing their thoughts down. As an alternative, you can capture your spoken thoughts using the Voice Memos app.

To capture an audio recording, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the Voice Memos app on the Home screen.
  2. Tap the red Record button and start talking.
  3. Tap the red Stop button when you're done talking.
  4. The Voice Memos screen displays your audio memo with the time, as shown in Figure 15.39:

After you have recorded a voice memo, you can tap the Play button to listen to it, or drag the slider to move to different parts of the audio file. You can also tap in the location text of your audio memo if you want to type something more descriptive.
