Recording video

Besides capturing still images, the iPhone camera can also record video. Instead of carrying around a camera and a camcorder, the iPhone gives you both in one camera.

Some of the different ways you can capture video include the following:

  • Video
  • Time lapse
  • Slow motion

Recording ordinary video

The VIDEO option lets you capture events as they happen without any added modification. By shooting video instead of still images, you can not only capture motion but also ensure that you capture that perfect shot.

To record video, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the Camera app on the Home Screen. The Camera screen appears.
  2. Choose VIDEO in the settings options. The record button appears as a red circle, replacing the white shutter button, as shown in Figure 7.9:
