In this chapter, we have seen some of the advanced operations in Active Directory and how to perform them using Active Directory and the AD DS Deployment PowerShell modules. The code samples provided in this section help you in kick starting your learning process and improving your skills further. Since these are advanced operations, it is recommended that you understand each parameter that is being used thoroughly and test them in a lab setup before attempting in a production environment.

In the next chapter, we will see how to manage DFS-N (Distributed File System Namespace) and DFS-R (Distributed File System Replication) using PowerShell. To manage these components we need to rely on other modules such as DFS-N and DFS-R in addition to the Active Directory module.
