Applying Central Access Policies

The following steps tell you how to apply your created Central Access Policy:

  1. Extend your Finance Documents Manager Rule so that the access to the Credit Cards.docx file is additionally limited to users that come from managed devices. In this case, you need to enable device claims.

  2. Go through a staging process and change the conditions in your Central Access Rule as needed.

  3. Apply your modified Central Access Rule and test your configuration with Jhonny Leano.

The preceding example scenario gives you a simple example on how you can use Central Access Policies to provide the proper permissions for any different scenario. Furthermore, you see that groups can be very nicely combined with the Active Directory attributes for extended scenarios and for other reasons like applications; they do not support Dynamic Access Control.
