Rights Protected Folder

Rights Protected Folder (RPF) is a Windows-based application that allows you to protect files and folders. Its quite simple; you have a folder that contains files and folders that you want to protect with AD RMS. Using RPF, you can securely protect your sensitive information or send it to somebody who will be able to access those files based on a desired AD RMS level.

RPF is not only available on the client side, it also integrates with the File Classification Infrastructure. This gives you, as the file server administrator, the possibility to protect any file on a file server with AD RMS. Once the files are protected, only authorized users will be able to access those files even if they are copied to another location. To protect non-Microsoft Office file formats, you can use File Management Task (FMT) with custom actions to use the RPF.

To use RPF with the File Classification Infrastructure (FCI), you need to follow the steps provided at http://blogs.technet.com/b...
