Active Directory integration


The most practical way to administer and monitor SolarWinds SAM is through Orion web console, since it is accessible from any computer on your network. Depending on the size of your organization, there may be more than one individual who needs access to Orion web console. Certain individuals may also require less than administrative privileges.

For example, some users may need Guest rights, to allow viewing data, but remain prohibited from making changes. You may also choose to isolate specific IT departments or users to applicable nodes, such as isolating the telecom department to telecom-related nodes. Therefore, the most efficient route is to grant permission through AD integration.
