Utilizing reporting


Reporting is beneficial for reviewing recent and historical data that SolarWinds SAM has collected, ranging from a broad to a granular level. A set of convenient predefined reports are included for out of the box reporting. Predefined report types include: Application Reports, Group Reports, Hardware Health Reports, Interface Reports, and Node Reports. Each predefined report type contains a number of individual reports that will provide a specific output. Most reports will only apply to nodes configured to be polled by SNMP or WMI.

Note

Each SolarWinds SAM predefined report is labeled and described intuitively within Orion web console; therefore, a detailed explanation for each report will not be included in this book. We recommend that you browse through each predefined report and familiarize yourself with its intended purpose.
