Let's explore the tagging of workflows. Tagging introduces the same kind of tagging you're familiar with from vCenter Server 5.5. Tagging allows you to add tags to Orchestrator objects and search for them.
You will need Orchestrator version 5.5.1 or higher. We need some workflows we can tag. You can use the example workflow if you want.
Tagging involves the following elements.
Let's start by setting a tag on a workflow:
Start the workflow by navigating to Library | Tagging | Tag workflow.
Select the workflow you would like to tag.
Enter a tag and a value.
Select whether you would like this tag to be global or not. A global tag is visible to all users whereas nonglobal (private) tags are only visible to the user who places the tag.
