Summary

In this chapter, we delved deep into the details of different ways to monitor a working Nginx instance. There is a very useful command-line log parsing utility ngxtop as well as two real-time statistics interfaces, which are available in open source and commercial versions of Nginx, respectively. We went over all the data items that these interfaces expose and discussed the integration options with many monitoring systems available on the market.

The next chapter will conclude the whole book by giving future directions for the reader. It may even seem to contain some career advice. There is also an appendix providing a reference into all the different errors and warnings that you may encounter in your work with Nginx.
