Summary

Auto Scaling has a bright future. It is the one that allows us to achieve elasticity in the cloud. Architecting your application deployment considering Auto Scaling capability is the key to cloud success. This is one of the most well-known and frequently mentioned reasons for migrating to the cloud. The features and capabilities provided by Auto Scaling help you to architect any type of application in the cloud. We have learnt in this chapter how we can increase the availability of an EC2 instance just by adding it to Auto Scaling, even though there is no intention to scale. Dynamic scaling is what allows us to Scale-Up and Scale-Down when an application demands more capacity.
