Implementation of vulnerability management

The implementation of vulnerability management follows the stipulated strategy. The implementation starts with the creation of an asset inventory. This serves as a register of all the hosts in a network and also of the software contained in them. At this stage, an organization has to give a certain IT staff member the task of maintaining this inventory and keeping it updated. The asset inventory at the very least should show the hardware and software assets that are owned by an organization and their relevant license details.
