Networking devices and their deployment

In this section, we will discuss some of the most common devices that constitute network infrastructure. We will categorize the devices according to the main OSI layer at which they operate (you remember your OSI layers from Chapter 1, The OSI Reference Model and the TCP/IP Stack, right?) and discuss the main functions and features that each device provides.
