One of the more powerful features of Master Data Services will be covered in this chapter, namely the business rules engine. We will look at the different types of business rules that can be created within MDS, covering the various conditions and actions that can help to make an MDS solution so flexible.
The example solution will be extended further to include business rules that modify the data, interact with the data validation, and send e-mail notifications. Implementation of workflow will also be covered, through the use of SharePoint 2010.
