Introduction


One of the biggest benefits of Windows Server AppFabric is that it makes monitoring and troubleshooting WCF and WF4 services much easier by providing a core set of monitoring metrics that allow you to gain visibility into the status and health of your services, both at a glance and at a granular level of detail.

Enabling these monitoring capabilities is simply a matter of turning monitoring on and specifying the level of verbosity you are interested in by selecting a profile.

In addition, you can build your own tracking profiles for gaining a deep understanding of the events, messages, and information flowing in, through, and out of your services.
