Summary

There is no shortage of tooling available to complement your SOA aspirations, and this chapter will have given you an insight into some of the options available to you. This is merely a short list, and each tool mentioned will have alternatives available. There are entire genres of tooling that haven't even been touched upon in this chapter.

The best thing that you can do is prioritize areas in which tooling could help you reach the next level of maturity by filling a gap and choose the tool that best fits your need.

In the next chapter, we will look at new ways to connect on-premise and cloud-based applications/services using Azure.
